Hello Beautiful Readers,

This edition’s theme of Connection holds particular significance for us as we enter the second month (this season!) of navigating our friendship and partnership from opposite sides of the world.

Over the course of our 15 year friendship, we have spent multiple months apart, as Jessica has embraced the freedom to travel and B has navigated hectic family schedules, yet we have always managed to maintain a strong connection throughout.

Until this year, due to significant time differences and B’s dislike for phone calls(!), we have previously fallen into a rhythm of tangible connection when together and connection in our hearts when we are apart. With the creation of Celebration of Self, we are navigating a different dynamic to one we’ve experienced before and are practising new ways to remain in contact during physical separation. 

It’s brought to the forefront of our minds how connection does not have to be in the physical, and it can take place in multiple forms. We can connect in person, in writing, in spirit and in heart. We can connect with ourselves, with each other, with lost loved ones, and even with ones we are yet to know. We can stay connected even if we are literally worlds apart.

As we celebrate the concept of Connection in all of its beautiful forms, may the stories, teachings and ideas within these pages inspire you to consider and strengthen the connections in your own life.
