Hello Beautiful Readers,

As September rolls around we have turned our attention from the freedom of summer to the foundations that our next few months will be built upon.

For B, September marks the start of a new school year for her children; and following a summer of embracing her free spirit, she is now focused upon laying and maintaining the foundations for a stable school year, upon which her family can thrive and grow.

Meanwhile, Jessica has been preparing for her next adventure later this month. Returning Down Under to make peace with the past and create new memories as this new version of herself. She will be embracing more location free living, thanks to the foundations she has put in place over the years.

Together we are also taking this opportunity to reflect upon the foundations of Celebration of Self. Although the idea came to us in a few short hours, and we somehow brought that dream to life in a matter of weeks (!), it would not have been possible without the foundations we’ve spent over a decade creating through our individual personal development journeys, and jointly within our friendship.

With most of the planets in retrograde we’ve been feeling a little funky and out of sorts around here the past month, but this has provided us with the perfect opportunity to test the resilience of our own foundations; rewrite limiting beliefs; streamline some of our systems; and simplify our submissions process. We’ve been shown the importance of flexibility alongside stability, where foundations are concerned.

As we celebrate this, may the stories and teachings of our contributors within these pages inspire you to connect with and tend to your own foundations. Ones upon which you can build and enjoy the life you most desire and deserve.
