Everything in my life has brought me to this point, waiting for you, my darling little one.

 

And we’re nearly there, you’re nearly home.

 

Somewhere nearby, you’re with a foster carer, not yet knowing that your forever family are working hard every day, getting ready for you.

 

Every tear shed over the past four years has only made me stronger for you.

 

Every podcast listened to, and book read, has better equipped me to be your mum.

 

Every penny saved and adjustments made to the house, is building you a home.

 

Every form completed and question answered, takes me a step closer to you.

 

It’s just a few more short months now and we’ll be together. 

 

And I promise I’m going to make the most of every day, to be as prepared as I can be.

 

I’m going to absorb every nugget of information, gaining strength and resilience I need to help you settle when you come home.

 

I’m going to give you everything I can to have an amazing future, and I’m so grateful for this time we’ve had to make sure we can do that.
